The JC whitney wiper moters are junk.
I used them for 8 months, live in washington state where wipers are as important as brakes.
The jc whitney wipers would slip (motor run, arm not sweep) or would get wind whipped up on the cab roof. They are also extremely noisy.
I just found an old car that had motor and linkage that I could modify and make work. They work great. Older VW's have good simple easily modifyable wipers, so go cj-5's and cj-7's.
My suggestion is to hit the junk yards...
