Check the alignment arrows or dots on the splined shaft they should matchup on the front and rear sections. There usually is a dot or arrow there. Or look at a photo in the manual. They have to be in phase when assembled to keep from destroying each other. (basically the u-joints are in the same plane as each other, if they are rotated, they become out of phase and are actually binding as they turn. Get another mechanic too, that one sounds like a parts changer, not a mechanic. Regards WAW
