I have an 1962 1.5 ton PW. Power train needs work, and components are proving hard to find and expensive.
Is it possible to swap out the 1.5 ton power train for a newer
one ton power train?
And if so, can I use the existing rear ends from the 1.5 ton configuration with a one-ton rated transmission and transfer case... or does the entire train have to be of equivalent duty.
I would appreciate hearing from some of you experts on this.
