Mike, thanks for that info. I'm curious...everyone seems to have pet physics when it comes to air tanks. What relevance is tank volume to the output of a compressor? Doesn't air volume depend soley upon pump displacement? I don't see how a system can deliver air at a higher rate than the pump can move it, tanks or no tanks. My understanding was that the tank is present to buffer and smooth out the pump's pulsations, etc. so that the air supply is usable for work. If the tank contributes to flow, please point out where in the equation the free energy comes from. Maybe I just need a bigger tank on my system?
When you're spraying with HVLP, does that refrigerant effect cause your gun hose to condense water in it like a sandblaster? How about recommendations on the best air filter and moisture separator? Anyone?
