I don't know if the reliability ratings are correct measure or not. People are a lot more likely to send in something if they are dissatisfied. And you would have to know that you had equal percentages of different brands. I think a better indicator would be to talk to people you come in contact with. People will normally tell you what they think of their truck. Here in Columbia there are 4 dodge dealers, one has ticked more people off by warranty problems handled incorrectly that people refuse to buy another Dodge. Another does such a great job that people bring other brands to them.
How do you get an honest report?
