Could just the pedal arm be changed out from the correct mounting assembly(cast iron part that the pedal mounts in)? And use a pedal arm from an earlier truck?
I did the 251 & syncro tranny swap in my 49, used all the parts from a donor 63 model, but did not swap out the pedal assembly. I still have a 57 parts truck I can get one out of, sounds like I'm gonna need it when I put the PTO in.
I sold what was left of the 63 locally and might be able to buy the pedal assembly back if the guy still has the truck(sold it about two years ago). If you can't swap out the pedal arm with an earlier one let me know and I'll see if I can get the pedal off the 63 truck I sold.
