Well, I appreciate your candid responses. I am sorry for not posting a reply until now, but I've been at the whipping post here at work for the last couple of days....lots of hours, and I've managed to glance at the forum a couple of times, but I haven't had any time to post any responses until now.

I read the Dodge truck review that Lonnie posted below, and I must say, it's quite impressive. Makes me want to get one. As I mentioned in my response below, however, I don't have the money. Someday, perhaps, but not now. Besides, my current transportation is doing the job pretty well, and costing me next to nothing (knock on wood).

I will check out the Turbo Diesel Registry, and I will also look up JD Powers and see what's said there. As for the opinion that Consumer Reports is not a good source for automotive/truck information, I have to disagree. I may not agree with all of their comments or reviews, but I don't pay so much attention to that part. That is more opinion than anything else. The part I look for is the reliability ratings on the various components (you know, the little circles). These are based upon a VERY LARGE population of consumers who have sent in their information regarding reliability of their vehicles. It's not an editor's or writer's opinion, it's what the buying public has reported to the magazine - just numbers (i.e., statistics), and I would hope that those numbers are not getting twisted around (but I guess you never know).

Anyway, I will check out the other sources you all have mentioned. I will perform the internet search, as someone below suggested. The only thing is, in the past when I have done that, I've ended up mostly finding "information" from people who just want to gripe about a bad experience, or I find a site that is otherwise obviously biased in one direction or the other. I'll take a look again, though. I'm not biased toward a particular brand. I'm definitely open to trying any brand, so long as I don't think I'm going to get burned. (Although I'm slightly biased toward my Power Wagon, I suppose, and I really enjoy hanging out at this site, and providing input when I am able.)

Thanks for all of the responses, and I'm sorry for taking us back off-topic.

Matt
