I'd love to be able to recommend a good inexpensive antispam solution but so far I have not found one. Either they are enterprise solutions that are out of the average persons budget, or the administration is so complicated that the average person would go nuts trying to use it, or it just doesn't work.
The Panda Platinum Internet Security package has a spam filter in it, but I did not turn it on so I can't say if it works.
