Matt,
My 93 Cummins is bad for axle wrap & it's an issue on any truck with lift blocks like the W250 & 350 had because of the added leverage.
The Cummins with all it's torque almost makes it necessary to install traction bars but you will never get axle wrap with 90hp, the axle housing bolted directly to the springs & with springs the size of a Power Wagon. Mine has a V8 in it & I still don't believe that is an issue with 200hp.
The springs are all back together & installed on my frame. It'll likely be Summer when I have it ready for action again but I will definitely tell you if I can feel any difference.
I took another front spring apart last night & they are definitely greased from the factory when they were new.
It's difficult to see on the rear springs but the front springs have a groove forged into them & the grease remains in the groove.
Anyone know what that groove is for?
