Does it seem to happen when you apply gas and the engine is pulling and the tranny and T-case are under load or when you let off?
Low gearing driven at high rpms can be expected to whine,especially when under load.
Gears themself will whine at high rpms.
The whine is multiplied as the tranny and T-case are by your legs and under your arss!
I couldn't imagine the noise if you had bad gears or bearings or all the above.
