I have one of these that is 12 volt. The idea seems cool at first, power steering and generator all only using one pully.
If you plan on driving long distances you might want to rethink it. If something tears up on your power steering, you have also lost your generator. And good luck getting this one fixed on the road. I would rather opt for a one wire alternator and a separate power steering unit. That way, your downtime will be much less in case of a problem. Just a thought.
If you only plan on trailering it to remote locations or just driving it around town, it should not matter either way.
