Our fire dept and the Forest Circus for that matter, are useing flat decks and then building from there. Skid mount pumpers and bolt-on tool boxes. usually 1-tons for brush trucks. The Island Park Fire Dept got ahold of a hand-me-down truck from the FS and made it into a fast responce, extrication outfit with generator and quartz lamps. I would sure check out the Forest Service,(even out of state) and see what is available. Since they have decided to let everything burn instead of harvesting it (our local lumberyard is full of Canadian timber) they have increased their budget for such equipment. Tom
