Diesel is cheaper than any other fuel in SoCal, right at or below the lowest octane gasoline. It is $1.79.9. Diesel is in the heating oil family, so every winter diesel prices go up. It's been that way since fuel prices began. Diesel is no longer 15% less than gasoline because demand for diesel is up. There are 15 fold more diesel cars and trucks than in those days of the 60's.
Quite simple mathematics and has nothing to do with real or imagined conspiracies that may or may not exist.
