A friend of mine took his kid ice fishing for trout last weekend, it was nice out, only -20. Had to drill through 4 feet of ice to hit water. Got themselves some nice trout.
The University of Fairbanks Hockey team is playing the Michigan Wildcats this weekend here in Fairbanks. Bout 38 thousand folks here. Four thousand at the game last night. It was -38 (no wind). Great game, the ice was on fire. The Nanooks took the Wildcats 1-0, both goalies took about 35 pucks each. Their playing again tonight and it's creeping down to -45 (no wind). The ice fogs down to 1/4 mile. We'd be there but couldn't get tickets. Gonna be another hot game.
Meanwhile, my C3 Powerwagon is froze up solid. Gonna take abit of work to spark er up. Have to hit it with the red dragon.
