Striking out here in Fairbanks. Called the antique shops and they have all said the same thing. Plates prior to the completion of the ALCAN in 42 are hard to come by. If you can find them they run around 650 bucks. I never would have guessed that plates would go for so much, but then again this price quote came from an antique shop. I've got one more lead on a collector out in Ester and am waiting for his call back.
