Help - Bear is busted

I just went to the store in Bear (59 Townie W100). When I started to drive away, something went terribly wrong on the front end. When I got out to look at it, the driver side front wheel was almost horizontal. Something must have fell apart on the axle or the hub. I got it back home (This was another story in itself) and took the lug nuts off (mmm - left hand threaded). I partially pulled the wheel off and took this picture. Can someone comment on exactly what I have here and what is the best way to fix it. I will be looking at the manuals tonight to try and get a better feel for it.
