I have run a lock right in the front and rear of my M-37 for many years now[one of the 1st. lock rights John Z. made] and have had very little steering problems on or off road. In 2wd with hubs engaued the is no differance. While trail riding there is very little differance in handling[as long as locker is opperating properly and ratcheting]. When in deep mud, snow or sand where the tires[9.00X16 Power Kings]can really dig the truck tends to pull to the wheel with the most traction as it will if you break a shaft! Also If you shear the pins off in the lock right[I was the first one to bust a lock right, all john had to do was replace the pins and every thing else was fine] it will not ratchet[release] and will act as a spool would. In the front this means virtually no steering. I hope this helps and good luck.
