I just read the Feb 04 Four Wheeler magazine. They have an article on a 1942 M-37 Dodge Power Wagon (Time Machine article). At least that is what they call it. Actually it is a 1942 WC 53 (Carryall) body put onto a late model Dodge diesel pickup that was shortened about 20". They changed the radiator cowel and hood to allow for the Cummins 6 cylinder. They also reworked the interior a lot. Estimated value was stated to be $350,000. I did not realize that the $ had devalued that much. I would be happy with $35,000 for my Carryall if it were for sale.
I emailed Four Wheeler and gave them a bad time about not checking out the basics of the article before printing it. I explined that the Power Wagon was first available in 1946 and that the M-37 arrived several years after that. Be interesting to see if they respond.
