I applied the JB to the cracks today, installed two layers after prepping the surface...ie: light touch with a die grinder and wheel, then cleaned off with alcohol (not the drinkable stuff!) Applied first layer and let set for 30 min. (used JB Quick 4 minute epoxy) Then applied second layer...let it set while I re-installed starter, distributor...etc. Then filled up the radiator with 50/50 antifreeze mix...pumped up the cooling system to around 12 lbs psi, (3 times the cap rating...NO LEAKS!! fired her up...block was anout 20 degrees F, got up to and way over operating temp...around 220 before thermostat opend and let air lock through...now she runs at 160 degrees the heater works GREAT!!! And I moved her back outside into the -7 to -15 degree temps tonite!! I will see what it looks like in the morning!!
