corn is planted in rows so you can plant, spray, cultivate, irrigate, and esp. for harvest. That's the short answer.
The corn is so thick 30,000 plants per acre that the wind will kind of go over the top. If it gets too windy 45mph to 100+mph it tends to break the plants. Not a good thing. Had ond hybred this year break 50 to 80 percent in a bad storm.
At least I don't have to go to Las Vegas to gamble!!
