Somewhere I have pictures of the screws, and I have some on hand.

The screws that hold in the back window are very small, and phillips in later trucks. If you have an early truck, they might be flathead.

The screws that hold the rest of the trim in place (above the windshield, above the doors, the small peices near the seat) have been flathead on all the trucks I have seen.

None of the trucks I have pulled apart had shiney screws holding on the trim, my guess is they were either painted the trim color, or they were left plain metal.

The screws that hold in the headliner by themselves, and are not connected with the metal trim, use finish washers of a certain size. I am not sure of the number used of these, but I do have some if you are looking for something to compare to.

The ones of these I have seen use flathead screws, but again later trucks may have been phillips.

What year is your truck? I am sure that someone has an original around the same time period and can let you know if the screws should be phillips or not.

Let me know if you need pictures etc of the screws I have.

Eric
