you can buy alternator rebuild kits and do it yourselfe if you are handy with electrical stuff( i am not ) or in my town there is a place called delta battery and they will rebuild it and warranty it. they did a diesel cad starter for me many years ago and it lasted well after the owner sold it.they also do starters for industerial motors and etc. steve
