What chance do you think there is that anybody who's bid on this ship has that kind of dough, let alone is the least bit serious about following through? For that matter, I have my doubts the seller. He doesn't give any company name or contact info, aside from his ebay user ID. He doesn't give the name of the ship nor where it is located. He has a picture of some aircraft carrier, pretty clearly not the one in question unless it was a long-ago picture of it when it was in service. Maybe he just found a pretty picture in Janes Fighting Ships. At the very end he says, "offered subject to availability", in other words "I don't really have an aircraft carrier, but don't sue me for it."

He was smart to use ebaymotors rather than regular ebay for a joke like this. Ebaymotors has a flat listing fee of $80. If he'd listed it as a regular ebay item he'd be pushing $1,000,000 in final value fees, by my calculation.
