Paul,

"Citrisolve" is the name of the orange based cleaner that you might be thinking of. We use it at work as a de-greaser, but not in our partswasher. It is water based and is relatively friendly to the environment but I don't know how well it would do in a partswasher.
We use a contractor for our partswasher service and they change the solvent every three months. This eliminates the need for our company to store and ship "hazardous waste", which is the underlying reason for putting up with their high fees. For home use however, nobody could ever clean enough stuff to make this contracted service worthwhile.
