Dodge Ram HO

With the latest discussions on the board regarding the new Dodge diesel HO's, I notice that everybody is getting the six speed manual transmissions. I understand that the 2004 will be available with an auto transmission. I'm curious why no one has mentioned getting one. I talked to a Dodge salesman and he said the ones that are out have had no problems so far.
