Re the e-brake output mated to the stock offset pumpkin: Just a thought, but would another U-joint mounted at a 45 to one of the flange U-joints give proper flexibility? I have seen large truck drive shafts with multiple U-joints and support hangers with a bearing to allow that long shaft to flex and work. Would it be easier to make a custom driveshaft with one extra joint than to find a centered axle? Idle thoughts for discussion...
