Hi Paul,
I got 16.5 pulling the trailer empty, 16 even loaded. That was up Donners Pass, and back south over the Grapevine, from +25 elevation to 4144' at the pass and back down to about 800' elevation. The total trip was around 1,200 miles so it was a pretty acurate average, as shown on the trip computer and verified by good old fashioned math. If I can keep the rpms under 2,000 (running level at 65-70 mph)I get about 19-21 mpg. I'm 8,000 lbs empty, so I think that is pretty good!
