I would rather have an earthquake than a hurricane. I have done both. I lived in New Orleans for 5 years and have been through many earthquakes in California, Alaska and Washington.

An earthquake is here then gone quickly. You prepare once and keep your stocks rotated. Hurricanes, they last too long you get lots of false warnings.

Nothing is stable not even the earth. Just look at all the changes that are always happening to the earth around us. They are just a natural course of nature. People get too comfortable with the current situation and assume that that is the way it always has been and will be. That is why I kind of laugh at the global warming cries of wolf. Just look around, many times the earth has been warmer than it currently is. Gee I wonder how all the coal got up into northern Alaska. Simple there were large tropical swamps in the area for a long time in the past. Look at the major sea level changes that have occured with time, they often reflect the climate. We are still coming out of the last ice age, which means that it is warming up.
