Born and raised on Bainbridge Island,WA. Now live on the outskirts of Poulsbo WA. I came across this photo in the book by Stan Cohen, Alcan and Canol: A Pictoral History of Two Great WW2 Constuction Projects. Stan also has a series of similar books called The Forgotten War, they're about the Japanese invasion of the Aleutians and the lend/lease program in Northwestern Canada during WW2. I bought these at a bookstore at the Anchorage airport for my Dad who was stationed near Fairbanks 1949-51.
