As Bill J. said, left side of the head, a couple of inches forward from the rear. The 251 I got from VPW came with a sender already installed, but it wouldn't work with my old WDX gauge so I drilled the hole out and re-tapped it to fit my old sender. Alternatively, I understand there are places that will convert your gauge for you...
