This morning I posted this on my site:
I've stood on the deck of the still commissioned, USS Arizona. After all of these years, oil still seeps from her tanks. Look closely at the photo, you can see her entire outline. It is a very moving experience to stand on her memorial on Battleship Row, and imagine that horrific moment. It is with pride for that generation that I remember their sacrifice, determination and resolve to overcome the attack, and persevere to victory.
The press and leftist in this country could use a little of that resolve in our war against terror.
