I have a '73 power wagon that has the factory guages in the dash. I was wondering what the typical oil pressure readings should be. I replaced the sending unit with a brand new one.When the engine (slant 6) is cold, it reads about 30 psi. After running it on the highway for around 30 minutes it drops to 20psi. I have used rotella oil that was 15-40W and now am running Amsoil 10-40W. The readings are very close. Just wondering if the pressure should read higher and I figured this is the place that I would find the answer. Gotta go now and lock the hubs....we just got our first major snowstorm (6")here in Notheastern Pa.and there is another storm on it's way!!
