That VIN is the engine number, and that number is the correct number for a 1946-47 1/2 ton 2wd engine.
That truck looked to be a homemade truck to me, WWII 1/2 ton 4wd running gear, with a 2wd body on it.
Check the frame near the drivers side front spring shackle for a number stamped in the frame, basicly where the picture above shows it. My bet is it is either the VIN for a WWII 1/2 ton 4wd, or the VIN for a 46-47 1/2 ton 2wd. Get the number for us (7-9 numbers long) and someone here will decode it for you.
