My daughter is going to be doing the same thing in a about two months. The hills of Colorado will never be the same either. I let her drive up the driveway a week or two ago. She did pretty good (manual tranny), freaked out in one of the steepest sections and just stomped on the brakes. Killed the engine - no big deal. When she finally got ready to go again it was reved up to about 4000 rpm and she dumped the clutch. Kept it going and in a straight line, too. Keeps the heart moving at a good clip.
