It sounds like you are referring to switching from 5.83 gears to the 4.89's.
My sets ran me $1600 and that was with all new bearings and one spyder gear kit since I also got a 1210 lock right for the rear differential. You might as well replace it all while you have the differentials open. You will have to replace both the front and rear gears if you do the swap. spyder/spider gears can be gotten from AB linn on ebay they are the same as the M37.
