I have been amazed what happens when I get a COMPETENT parts person to cross reference a part number. (I said person instead of guy for a good reason.)
The WDX and -PW muffler number is 1196-812.
When I replaced the muffler on my WDX, the exhaust pipe was also rusted through. I had my local muffler shop fabricate a new exhaust pipe that would relocate the muffler farther back so all its heat was not under the cab floor. They were able to install a muffler that fit with plenty of clearance for the front drive shaft. The short, "exit right" tailpipe also reduced the chance of damage to it.
Unless you are striving for total authenticity, here is a place where Dodge left us an opportunity to improve their design.
