The fusible link will normally melt and won't work again, it kills the entire electircal system but I (senility strikes again!) think it will allow the starter to still turn??? I can't remember. You must just have a lose wire or a circuit breaker(?) that is shutting you down. What other symptoms are there? Do you have any electrical power when it shuts off? Headlights? Check the tightness of your connections at the ignition switch, starter, etc.
