I take all my stuff to an outside vendor. They are set up to do it, they are fast, inexpensive, and they do powder coating also.
I had a set of old wheels blasted and powdercoated 40% black with a silver ring for $40. Les Schwab can do it for $22.50 I'm told. I had all the sheetmetal (except the doors), plus a bunch of other bits on a power wagon blasted for under $400. In my mind it's worth it because of the mess and health hazards associated with doing it yourself.
