product. Silica Sand in a blaster is not necesarly a killer if used with proper respirators and safety equipment. Dangerous and Deadly materials that are IDLH are used daily in industry. When the proper safeguards are used, they are safe. The key is reading the Material Safety Data Sheets (yes even for silica sand), and following the proper procedures for use and handling. When you disregard proper safety, anything even water skiing can be a killer.
I dont use sand !!! I use Black Beauty a Slag Product. But I ran out and wanted to complete the job. Thus I tried sand with proper respirator, hearing and eye protection and skin protection. I was safe and sound, but the larger stones pluged my nozzle so I quit.
