WC is just the designation, doesn't stand for Weapons Carrier. Almost all Carryalls are WCs. The carryall shell seems to have been developed by Proctor-Keefe from the '39 series Dodge panel van, they just put in side windows and two rows of seats, so the intermediate seat is a two person unit, and the third row a three person one. this is much the same arrangement used in PW Woodies. There have been a few PW Carryalls, but really there are only a few types you are liable to find;

in chronological order;

1/2 ton 4 x 4, VC 6, 1940

1/2 ton 4 x 2, WC 36, WC 48 1941 and 1942 (I've got a WC 36)

1/2 ton 4 x 4, WC 10, 17, 26, all 1941 (ish)

3/4 ton WC 53, 1942 (got one of those too)

Great rucks, solid roof (good for the weather here in Scotland) People tend to throw away the demountable rear seat units for some reason.

For more info check the WW 2 Dodge Motor Pool off the MVPA page, and if you happen to check out thier image gallery you may run across my WC 53
