Many of us with Power Wagons have Cummins powered Dodges for hauling Power Wagons out of fields where they lie dying and into the garages where our wives used to park their cars. There's nothing better for this. Opinions on manual vs. auto transmissions seems to be evenly divided. I prefer two-wheel drive with a 5 speed since I make long hauls to buy, sell, or take one or two Power Wagons to a Rally. I have a receiver mount Warn 8,000 pound winch that does double duty - it gets my two wheel drive unstuck and it drags dead Power Wagons onto my trailer two at a time. I drove 2500 miles from Tacoma, WA, home to Central Texas in three days stopping for liesurely meals and a full night's rest each day. I was hauling a complete, running WC-63 at top legal (for cars) speed and got 14 mpg on the trip. I get 12 mpg hauling two Power Wagons on my 36 foot flatbed and get 16 mpg pulling a single Power Wagon on my small trailer. I suggest your Cummins would look its best (always better than F, C, or G trucks) pulling "Old Ugly" to the many great Power Wagon events around the country. Good Luck.
