I got a NOS mechanical pump for my B3 PW pickup from Vintage Power Wagons a few weeks ago for about $68 plus shipping. It includes a glass bowl with screen filter. I also have the 6V electric pump which is still working, but I feel better with the original type. A few years back I toasted an 6V electric fuel pump on a long haul on a hot day. I think what happened was vapor lock which got the pump too hot pumping air. Another theory is that the siphon tube in the gas tank has a hole in it so that when the fuel level gets that low there is a lot of air sucked in. I am considering putting the electric pump back at the gas tank and switching it on only if vapor lock seems to be happening.
