Since you have the front axle ends open, you might as well replace the the inner axle seal and the bronze bushings. An easy job to do and not too expensive. If you noticed any leakage of diff lube from the axle ends, it is a must do. If you are working on the 1 ton PW there are two bushing per side. One just inside the axle tube and the other is in the spindle. There is also a seal just inside the axle tube with the bushing. The bushings in my truck badly worn and I could pull them out with my fingers (not good). I know it is a little more work and money but it is worth it. The seals and busings can be bought from Vintage PW and possibly locally.
