Has anyone done away with the windshield frame completely? I`v seen some 39 & 40 dodge pickup street rods that have done this, it looks nice. They just urathane two pieces of flat tinted glass in there with a divider strip in the middle and the trim strip around the edge, and it looks like the paint a strip on the inside edge of the glass to so the old hinge holes are covered. This would make a nice no leak installation and you could have the windshield trim in black or chrome like the new cars. Just something I`ve been thinking about, if you are restoring you would not want to do this, but the people who enjoy their trucks may want to try this. If I find out anymore on this subject I`ll post it.
