Hi Folks,
I have several questions for people with more experience in and about power wagons. I looked at 2 power wagons on Saturday, a B and a C model. Now for the questions.
1. C model has a crack in the frame at the rear spring front mount across the top part of the frame rail, as well as several kinks on the bottom part of both the frame rails between the cab and the front of the rear springs.

Can the crack be safely welded and do the kinks suggest that the frame has been stress to the point of being unsafe?

2. C model also has about 1 foot along the bottom of the frame rail between the cab and the front of the rear springs where the double frame is pushing apart from rust.

Is this an indication that the frame is thinning from rust or a normal condition?

3. B model has the cross member between the cab and the rear axle almost rotted off the frame rail on one side.

Are there replacement ( new or used ) cross member available or would I need to have one fabricated? I think the cross member is riveted in place.

Thanks,
davey K
