Hello: I have a 74 dodge Light Truck, this have some rare parts,
the engine is a 360 block with a Holley 2bbl (this was changed
manual trans. and a 9 ¼ rear end with 3.55 gears, this have great
power on low RPM but not run over 3500 RPM, and have a poor gas
mileage (Very poor), I been changed every thing including
distribuitor (single point) Resistance, capacitor, filters,
sparks (clean combustion), and using 87 and 93 octane fuels
result in minor changes, no burns oil and have very good
compression, I thinking about the engine type, I been changed
water pump, BUT THE 360 PUMP NOT MATCHED, the engine (block and
heads) say 360 with dates from '73-'74 and no show rebuilt
evidences, the match pump was a 340-318 D600 type,I'm thinking
that it's a Heavy truck engine aplication, but I can't check
this with last owner, by other way I'm building a drag car with
a '71 demon, who lost their 340 (BLOWED) and now I'm interesing
in stuff the 360 with 340 heads and Hi rise-single plane intake,
mechanical lifters, etc. but I need to know what engine I have...

Thanks... and SALUDOS!!
