How much more stability

I will be buying a new tow vechicle probably this winter. I was considering another short bed Dodge 2500 Ram with CTD to pull my gooseneck trailer. Would a long bed Dodge with the CTD have more stability since the wheel base is longer ? Enough stability to merit a long bed over short bed ???
