Howard, I found another old Dodge at a junk yard that had a similar seat that was also shot. I actually bought the whole seat for pretty cheap. The springs are held in by bent metal clips. I bent them out, pulled out the springs and reinstalled them in my seat. This was after I had pulled back the upholstery and padding. I put in some new padding from the scrap bin of an upholstery shop and reinstalled the original upholstery and presto, Good as new. I actually had to do a little welding on the main spring frame which had broken but it was a simple project and didn't cost me much.
