For the last 2 years, I have had 11 1/2 acres of land in the boonies. I been trying to do something with it, but things just would NEVER work out, not at all.... All I managed to do on it, is collect junk vehicles and start a small salvage yard. Well, Lately I been cleaning up the junk trucks, and trying to get things around to get a mobile home trailer set up on it, and get it liveable. Well, finally 3 months ago, I got approved for the financing on it, but things just did not work out to do anything with it! Well, on Thursday I was out there cuttin' up an old junk Ford (thats all they are good for.....) and the neighbor lady walked over to talk for a min. She said her and husband wanted to sell their place soon, and asked me if I knew anybody who'd want it! I told her right there, I would take it! The place is a nicely remodeld older mobile home trailer on an acre and a half right next door to my property. I closed on it this morning. I start moving my stuff in there tommorrow! This is my first house and I am quite excited. Now I got 13 acres, and I even have an option to buy about 8 more acres in about 7-10 years. I helped them move and set the trailer up last year, so I know how it was done, and it was done very well, and right. It does need a bit of TLC, but nothing major. Now the good part is, I have all this that I can call MINE once its paid off, and my payments are cheaper than what most people rent a 1 bedroom appt for ($450/month) an I am in debt for less than a a new Hummer H-2 ($45,000) I hope to be able to pay this off before I am 30. I am 24 now. I could afford to go alot more, but Id rather live below my means than above my means. I can afford to make all my bills and still have 'play' money! Or shall I say, Power Wagon money. Now, All I need is Dana's MORTON building, and I would have it! LOL! I didnt mean to off topic drivel, but I am so excited, I had to bring it up! Now I gotta figure out the spot to build the lean-to, to park the WDX, and Farmall H! Take care guys, and have a nice weekend.
