To change shifter or trunnion pins. You gotta pull your shifter boot, then Where the shifter goes into the top cover, there should be a round object thingy that threads to the top cover, unthread it and pull it off. Now you can pull the shift lever and or trunnion pins out. BE CAREFULL! You may drop the pins into the trans when you do this! I would pull the pins befrore pulling shifter out. You can tell if the pins are wore. Also at this point, you can pull shifter out, and pull it straight out! There is a grove on each side where the pins 'ride' in, and often the grove gets worn.
